Autism Acceptance % Speech Therapy Q/A

April is Autism Acceptance Month!

According to the American Academy of Pediatrics the prevalence of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is significantly higher among premature babies. Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is defined as a neurological and developmental disorder that affects how people interact with others, communicate, learn, and behave. In 2021, the CDC reported that approximately 1 in 44 children in the U.S. is diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD), according to 2018 data.

What are some important things to know about ASD?

What are some ways that we can help children with autism communicate?

Are there resources that are available for children who have autism?

Please join Carter G. Cares and Speech Pathologist Ms. Kenya Blocker on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at 7pm EST on Facebook Live for a Q/A on Speech Therapy and Autism.
