As we celebrate National Breastfeeding Awareness Month we welcome Mrs. Charmaine Campbell Lazare to speak with us about the amazing benefits of breastfeeding. She is a Labor and Delivery Nurse and Certified Lactation Counselor based in New York, NY. Her goal is to increase breastfeeding rates among black mothers, who have the lowest breastfeeding rates in the United States. Through encouragement, education and increase in awareness about the benefits of breastfeeding for both mother and baby, Mrs. Lazare hopes to change those statistics.
